I chose blue and white for my wedding. If I could do it over I would go with brown and a light blue.
What time of year will the wedding be? If it's a spring / summer wedding, maybe something like these:
These might be a better option for fall:
Coral, mint, and gold are beautiful together!
Teal and Blush Pink...
I love the colors pink and white, turquoise and orange, or bright pink and orange, together!
It is the brides personal preference but if there is a THEME involved in the wedding the bridesmaids should wear a color to go along with that theme. If there is no theme, think about this, The colors that you choose should complement the season you are getting married in, the time of day you get married, whether you have an indoor venue or if you will be on a beach and lastly how FORMAL the wedding is. No matter what the bride and her bridesmaids wear, the dress designs and styles should complement each other. Bridesmaid dresses that are too different end up looking bizarre.
For a spring wedding colors in the pastel shades like blue and lavender are always beautiful, in the summer pinks and oranges, in the fall you cant go wrong with champagne or copper and in the winter navy or forest greens are always good. I had a May wedding and it was Wedgewood Blue for my bridesmaids. My friend had October and we wore Chocolate Brown. I do not care for Black&White weddings because I think truly only the bride should wear white. I really like these dresses particularly.
I love lilac!
I like different so I did mine in black and red.
For my wedding I have planned to use black white and shades of blue. Pretty much any color blue under navy blue. Hope that helps. :)
Use you favorite colors or ones that help you use live flowers. I did the classic pick and white and silver. Put pink rose buds in in glasses for cake stands and had them use pink roses for decorating the cake. Bridesmaid wore pink. Pink, white, and silver for bouquet and table decor (pink roses everywhere). And we were showered in rose petals when we left the church. My sister used a green and yellow theme with yellow roses and bridesmaids in green and gold for the tableware. As it's your wedding, you get to choose!
I used black, dark cream, and a very dark purple.
I'd base my answer on a few things
1. What time of year is it. Some colors just naturally go better (and are easier to find) in summer, winter and fall. If it's a summer wedding, I'd say use brighter hues of colors; blues, pinks, yellows. If it's a fall/winter wedding, warmer, deeper colors such as crimson, orange and brown are a hit.
2. Are there any colors that mean something special to the couple? The college you attended/graduated from, major sports teams that you are a die-hard fan of?
3. What flowers are you using? That is always a major factor in a lot of weddings. Certain flowers only come in a few colors, so if you want something floral to match, you need to pick a flower that comes in that color (because having flowers dyed a color can become costly).
4 Colors that are softer always blend well with Silver as an accent color, especially in the spring/summer. While Gold as an accent blends its hue to Fall/Winter ceremonies.
Whatever color scheme is chosen, I'm sure it will be the right one for your personalities and tastes.
My wedding colors were white black and red, But any color can go nicely if it is done right. What colors did or do you have in mind?
These were my colors!
I love this color scheme!
I had teal and peach. This year grey and taupe seems really hot!
Mine was white and champagne color, but I think it just depends on the season, bright fun colors for summer, warm pastels for spring, dark or deep colors for the fall and I like blues and crystal like colors for the winter 💜
turquoise, gold and white are my dream colors!
I am a huge fan of emerald green and yellow/white. I want those colors for when I get married. :)
