What are the best types of alcohol for someone new to drinking?

asked by

Please don't say not to start or anything along those lines. I'm simply curious and would like to try drinks slowly.

If you can find it  Josef Drathen Auslese is amazing !!  Sweet and delishous !  and if you find it send me a bottle !   The rare occassion we hit Fort Wayne for any thing I make him go down town so I can buy a stash ... its over 100 miles away and no one here has heard of it :(

Look for auslese and cabernet :)  They tend to be a bit sweeter and easier on new palettes and words of advise ... take it easy on ANY red wine, the tannins cause one hell of a headache

My other favorite is diet coke, morgan and a twist of lemon... Its the "i'm out at the bar" party drink and has been for years.

don't ask me about beers .... i drink one and I'm a hot mess for a few hours ... great way to get out of bad dates though :)

I am not really into anything strong. so I find the Arbor Mist wines are very easy to drink, and are fairly inexpensive. they are really fruity and not at all alcohol strong.  so that might be a good wine to try for newbies!

I would say hard lemonades or tea. Like Hard Mikes or Twisted tea.

I talk to people all day without talking to them

I am a super casual few times a year drinker and I prefer white and rose' wines over anything else.  These are my favorites and worth considering.

Thanks!

Mom of two, nana to two handsome grandsons. Love the Lord. Am blessed with dear friends and family.

Add 7-up to wine to make sprizer. I find white wines are less dry and sweeter. I love coconut rum and pineapple juice. Refreshing. Look up recipe for whiskey slush. You mix in ice cream bucket and freeze. When you want a drink put scoop or two in glass and add 7up. Very good and ready when you want one.
