It’s time for a change of scenery! Whether you’re moving in with your partner, getting out of your parents house, going off to college or just starting over, moving into your own place can be the best feeling in the world while also being the most. stressful. experience. of. your. life.
From trying to figure out what you already have and then everything you’ll need (and not figuring it out until AFTER you need it) to arranging to get your WiFi set up (Weren’t they supposed to be here hours ago?!?), changing your address to that mysterious screw you’ve always had that looks like it could be extremely important (Once you throw this out, something will tragically fall apart: #fact), moving isn’t exactly a party.
No worries: this list is here to help! Use it as an overall guide to what you may need when moving into your first place or checklist for completing your space and making it home. Based on your lifestyle, you may not absolutely need everything on this list (or may want to save up a little extra money first - moving can be expensive!), but, hey, it never hurts to be extra prepared.
