If you have not seen a Hatchimal yet, you soon will. These magical eggs are predicted to be the most sought after toy this Christmas season...and honestly - even I WANT ONE!
These egg-shaped toys really do hatch on their own, but it takes a lot of love to encourage them to come out of their shells. After being out of the box and played with for a bit, you will begin to hear tapping sounds, chirping and lights as the creature inside comes to life. Play with them a while longer and the tapping gets louder as your new friend begins to break out, unzipping its egg shell much like a real chick would. Keep playing and interacting with your hatchimal egg until it hatches into a fluffy robot that looks a bit like a furby with a hard beak.
Once your new friend has hatched you have to help them grow up from a baby, feeding them (by touching their beaks to the floor) so it can grow into a toddler, then it gets more interactive and is able to learn words and walk when you clap your hands. In its grown up stage it even learns how to play games.
With two families of Hatchimals to choose from, Pengualas and Draggles, every kid is sure to love them, and I see a few parents getting a few of their own to hatch.
