I WANT TO SHARE THIS WITH EVERYONE HERE BECAUSE WE HAVE SIMILAR LIKES AND WE SOMETIMES GIVE OUR INFO. TO A WEBSITE IN EXCHANGE FOR SAMPLES OR TO ENTER SWEEPSTAKES AND SUCH. GRANTED THE INFO. WE GIVE IS VERY GENERIC TO AN EXTEND (NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE, AGE, D.O.B, E MAIL ADDR. ECT). AND HERE IS WHERE THAT INFO CAN HARM US IF GIVING TO WRONG PERSON.
Recently i started to join groups that will help out with keeping you up to date with who is giving free samples and informing us of websites such as this one. How ever this are just people and where there is humans there is error, so not all the bad can always get weed out. In the process of me been excited about so many websites somewhere along the way my info. reached the hands of scammers.
THIS IS A NEW SCAM: You may receive a robocall (computerize message) saying that you and your attorney need to contact their office or you will go to jail or similar message. when calling the number back to find out what it is about, This scammers go as far as saying they are from the I.R.S (Internal revenue) They will even give you a name and a so call batch number for you to write and they will say something like you did not file your taxes properly and now the I.R.S is going to suit you and that you will go to jail. They will say all kinds of scary things to intimidate you and all just with the end of you giving " A payment" over the phone. Of course if you give them your credit card info. you will not go to jail.
I recently dealt with the I.R.S over my student loans and it took a little bit but i got a feel of how they do business and i know they do not have robocall, or people harassing you over the phone nor do they threat you that if you do not make payment right there you go to jail.So I did not give them my credit card number and i called the I.R.S to be on the safe side and found out i was right , it was a scam.
IN Short anytime you get ANY call that demands money over the phone right there and then, hang up and research who is coming from.
