One thing I've had to deal with since I was a teenager: gray hair. Gray has plagued me since I was a teenager, people. A teenager. When it first started, I was able to cover it by getting highlights. It did the job, worked for a long time. Well into my twenties, I was able to keep the highlight trick working, and would color my hair, too. Then I left my twenties, and the highlighting trick no longer worked. Color no longer stayed in my hair, either.
I don't wear make up, so hiding how old I am is really not as easy as you'd think. Gray hair? It's not acceptable. However, I found myself coloring my hair every three, to four weeks. Of course, each box of color said it would last 6 to 8 weeks. LIES. If I got three weeks, it was a lot, and I pushed it to four. No time. No money. I was getting annoyed.
Shampoos, and conditioners claiming it didn't have sulfates in it, and would not wash out my color, weren't working. And then, the clouds parted, and I was sent L'Oreal EverPure Sulfate-Free Color Care System. Shampoo, conditioner, Repair Hair Remedy, and the Repair and Defend lotion. It's been my saving grace. It's the MIC DROP of hair color care systems.
After I color my hair, I don't wash it with shampoo for a couple of days. I just use the conditioner that comes in the box. After that, I have to start cleaning it. Everything I used prior to L'Oreal's EverPure, caused the color to wash out super fast. I'm telling you, three weeks was a lot, and four weeks was pushing it. Now? I can go a full six weeks, and even a little longer with a strategic pony tail!
Granted, I don't shampoo my hair every day. I do that maybe three times per week. Conditioner is done each day, and once a week I do the repair mask. When I towel dry my hair, I put the repair and defend lotion in, except on the days I do the repair mask. It's changed my hair. I love it, and will continue to use this product until I find something even more awesome.
Hey, my loyalty lies with the products that work. Right now, my loyalty is with: L'Oreal EverPure Sulfate-Free Color Care Repair & Defend Shampoo; L'Oreal EverPure Sulfate-Free Color Care Repair & Defend Conditioner; L'Oreal EverPure Sulfate-Free Repair Hair Remedy; and, L'Oreal EverPure Sulfate-Free Repair & Defend Lotion.
Give them all a try, but if funds are limited, stick with the regular shampoo and conditioner. Worth the money, and honestly, since you don't need a ton of it to work, it's saved me money. Plus, saves me on paying for the color jobs every four weeks! I've lengthened the time between colorings. SCORE.
