Funny story, I was in line at J. Crew (shocking, I know) when I spotted these boots on a woman in front of me. My immediate infatuation prompted me to take a pic incognito (total stalker behavior, I know) and scour the internet, looking for the boots that evening.
When I saw the price I immediately dismissed the purchase. However, I was in the market for quality winter boots (we live in Maine, they needed to be more than a fashion statement) and three weeks later, after shopping online and at the mall, I came up empty-handed - nothing compared to the Sorel boots.
Sorel was a brand my family had come to trust over the years. From sledding to snowmobiling, Sorel boots had always kept our feet dry and warm. The fact that such quality came at a price was a life lesson totally lost on me as a kid.
Needless to say, I bought the boots. I think my husband was sick of hearing me pine over them because I got a text one day telling me not to come home until I ordered the boots. Good man.
Two years later, I am still thrilled with my purchase. No matter how much snow and slush I slosh around in my feet stay dry and warm. Also impressive is the traction these boots provide (no slipping and sliding on icy walkways!). Then there's the fact that they are fantastic to look at. In fact, I've had people stop and ask me where I bought them. Of course, I withhold the stalker bit.
If you need a pair of durable, fashion-forward, pair of cold weather boots you won'e be disappointed with this shopping purchase.
