I'm usually an early adopter when it comes to tech and gadgets, but for some reason, it took me a little while to finally purchase a smartwatch that tracks fitness activity and sleep. This white Activite model from Withings is amazing and I've only had it for about a week now. Not only is it a sleek looking watch, but the percentage dial on the face of it is based on your daily goals.
Getting the device set up was the easiest thing ever and I was super excited that the packaging was easy to open as well. It did not require any tools or instructions, other than the fact that I needed to download a certain app to my phone in order to access the controls and dashboard where my daily results can be found.
It's pretty awesome that I can also set an alarm that gently wakes me up in the morning with small short vibrations. It's been a great way to make sure I get my daily walk in (or run) to try to reach the 10,000 steps a day goal. I don't need to worry about changing any settings or remembering to turn anything on before I go for a hike. It automatically tracks your steps and your sleep patterns.
I am not a swimmer, but I love that it is waterpoof and tracks your swim activity as well if you go into the water to surf or swim. As long as you're wearing it, your activity is being monitored and it comes with a standard battery watch so there's not a need to charge it or remember to bring your charger when you travel out of town. The battery is expected to last at least 8 months so there's one less thing to think about.
You can also order this same watch in black, pink or switch out the bands in a variety of colors.
