I've heard a lot about this book, and the author, for quite some time, but I finally picked up a copy of "This is Where I Leave You" last month.
Nearing the final chapters, I am in total agreement with everyone who gave it a good review because Jonathan Tropper has done such a great job with character development - something that has to work in a novel or I have a hard time picking up the book after getting through a few chapters.
Tropper wrote the screenplay for the film version of this story which stars Justin Bateman, Tina Fey, Jane Fonda, Adam Driver, and Dax Shepard, which means I already know it's going to be great.
The story revolves around a man recently separated from his cheating wife who is mourning the loss of his father. He's forced to spend an entire week with his dysfunctional family, all of whom continue to remind him of the other loss he's experienced in his life.
