My birthday is in a few weeks ( sept. 22 ) and mom knows I love cappuccino. When I lived down in the city I would stop at the mall every morning to grab one from my favorite coffee shop ( Our Daily Brew in Glenbrook, located in Fort Wayne IN ) and It was normal for me to sneak out for lunch to grab another one so when she seen this she knew I would love it and she was right!
It does not come with a press which is useful to smash your grounds down in the sieve, but I found that the top of an herb bottle is the right size and works just fine. So I added my espresso coffee, pressed it down, put in 4 shots of water and made sure the top was screwed on tight. In a few minutes I had espresso brewing ( you have to wait for things to heat up and for it to build up pressure ) complete with a nice crème on top ( press your coffee grounds down or you don't get it since the water will flow threw to fast. ) Steaming the milk was easy and it turned out frothy and piping hot. You just fill your cup ( honestly you really should have a little metal pitcher for this but a glass coffee cup works in a pinch ) with milk and start at the bottom, as it heats up you start pulling your cup down working up threw the milk to get the nice froth.
This little thing works perfectly as a counter top espresso machine, its easy to use, easy to clean and is cheap enough that it won't break the bank.
