As a mother who is still nursing an almost 3 year old, I always need to find things to add to my diet that keeps me healthy to promote healthy breast milk for my Little!
In addition to supplements, lactation cookies, muffins, lactation smoothies, one of my most favorite foods to make is Over Night Oat Meal
Over Night Oats is the perfect vessel for this as you can add just about anything to it and it tastes delicious!
You will want to use a Steel cut oat, as this is the most healthy oat and is pretty sturdy to hold up to soaking in liquid all night. If you use quick oats or minute oats, or the Instant oatmeal packets, your oatmeal will taste "gummy" or have a weird texture.
My favorite way to prepare this is:
Now any of these ingredients are optional, you can add ingredients or omit ingredients based on your personal preference!
Then just mix in Mason jars and refrigerate over night!
This is meant to be eaten cold, right out of the fridge and it will taste amazing.
