One of the questions asked today is if we believe in ghost. Here in Northeast Oklahoma there is a few. Course some don't believe it, but some do. Here is a couple for you.
One is called the Hornet Spook Light. The light appears at night on the border of Missouri and Oklahoma. I have been there several times and have seen it twice myself. The Spook Light is a single ball of light. It dances around and does move through the sky. There is many theories of Spook Light. One is that two young Native American lovers are looking for each other. Another one is a miner owned a cabin. The cabin was attacked by Indians and his wife and kids was missing. Some say its the miner out looking for his family.
Another one is about a mansion called Hoffmans Mansion. The story goes there was a young man that was a care taker at the mansion. He invited several boys to his home. He later went into a rage and then killed the boys, then hung himself. All of the are buried next to the mansion. You can here voices and sound of people running in the woods. In the house you can also hear the same thing, plus voices. The house was tore down in 1998.
There are folklores everywhere. Some believe and some don't. But it is a part of the history of America. If you have any local folklore, I would to hear about it.
