I was sitting here today seeing footage of the flooding in Louisiana. My heart aches for the families going through hell right now. I live in tornado alley and seen first hand how nasty mother nature can be. I have seen towns that was devastated by tornados. I seen countless people lose their homes to a flood here in 2007. Then in December of 2007, the same area was hit by a severe ice storm. I had family that lost their homes in tornados and flooding. I lost my home in the ice storm. The ice was so bad it over weighted a tree and the tree toppled and went through my roof. On way down the tree hit a electric line that also fell on my house and caught it on fire.
During times like this, you see the best in people. After the natural disasters around here, people came out in force. Helping with housing, cleanup, food, and other things. I know losing your house and your belongings is hell. You feel hopeless and lost. But things do get better. It will take some time, but life will get back to normal. Like the song above says Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain). Right now might be dark, but the sun does shine again. Life will be better and you will be stronger from what you went through. Just remember have faith, hope, and love.
