I have been a fan of Girl Scout Cookies since I was a little girl and a Girl Scout myself. I mean seriously who doesn't love Girl Scout Cookies?!
Well, a few years ago Walmart started carrying a Great Value brand (Fudge Mint, Carmel Coconut & Fudge and Fudge Covered Pb). I decided to try them, but I'll be honest, my expectations weren't too high because I knew what real Girl Scout Cookies tasted like and I highly doubted they could come close.
I put the (under $2) bag of cookies in my cart and went on about my shopping. I tried the Peanut Butter patties first because those were my absolute favorite Girl Scout Cookies. To my amazement, I honestly could not tell the difference between the two. I was shocked and maybe just a wee bit excited. Probably more than I should be about a cookie lol
The next time I went to the store I, of course, bought the other two kinds to try. And lo and behold guess what?! They were awesome too!
Now, I'm not telling you to not by Girl Scout Cookies from the sweet little gals that sell them. Because, you should totally support them as well. But let's be honest folks, first of all, Girl Scout Cookies aren't sold ALL year round and some of us need them more than once a year...And the awesome thing about these "off brand" is that they are under $2 each. That's pretty crazy considering how much Girl Scout Cookies cost.
There are other brands that makes these cookies as well, but I just have stuck with the Great Value brand. So, if you are wondering whether or not these cookies are as good as the real deal, rest easy knowing they are!
