As summer is approaching, many Americans are dreading the beach and clothes shopping. Most of us have failed our New Year's resolution but still want to get lean. I, like many Americans, are struggling. Motivation is something that is lacking lately.
Here are some of my favorite tips to lean up:
1. Get a workout or lifestyle change buddy. This is something that will keep you accountable. You can count on this person, and they will provide motivation. Don't have any friends? Make a YouTube channel.
2. Try something new or pick up a new hobby. Start hiking (my favorite activity), running, gardening, or even walking outside. Get outside or start cleaning everyday. Get a tracking device if you wish[ Try out the Fitbit brand in trackers. ] Try something new and different. Fitness is so much more than just working out and eating healthy. You need to focus on mental health. Try journaling or coloring.
3. Change it up. Sometimes we loose interest in the same chicken salad at lunch and the same workout DVD. You need to change up your workout every week. Try a new juice cleanse or the military diet for a week to revamp your healthy lifestyle.
4. Reward yourself. With all that money you make, buy yourself some new workout gear or a new blender. Maybe you really want to go over budget and buy those protein bars. Go for it, girl.
