Now that my son is in kindergarten, I am looking forward to spending some time in the classroom for special events and holiday celebrations. Next Monday is Halloween and since they are having a small Halloween party in the classroom they are looking for easy DIY arts and crafts for the kids to create that don't require too much effort or time since they'll be going from one table 'station' to the next during the celebration.
Etsy is the place I go to for inspiration and ideas. I love that there are printable templates all ready to go for us, especially for those parents like myself who really aren't all that crafty to begin with. Here are a few ideas I've seen so far which look pretty fun and simle for the kids to create and take home.
Printable animal masks make easy costumes for those kids want to feel more festive without having to dress up.
Color and create your own hand puppet skull!
Have them paint their own pumpkins to save time (and less mess) using these stencils.
If your school allows sweet treats, these cupcake toppers are awesome. They also work on wrapped individual cookies as well, like the one pictured.
You can also wrap those mini candy bars that seem to be a Halloween favorite.
Of course, if you have more time and energy, you may want to come up with something really festive, like this printable Haloween house!
